Played two seasons at Columbia Basin Community College in Pasco, Washington under head coach Scott Rogers...in 2002 he was drafted by the Oakland A's after earning second-team eastern conference honors...in 2003 he picked up first-team eastern conference accolades...tallied a 0.96 cumulative ERA over two seasons while going 13-0 with 110 strikeouts...his team finished first in the NWAACC East Division last season.
