LAST SEASON Played his first full season after sitting out the two previous years due to a recurring blood clot...drew four early starts but saw limited duties as a reliever for the remainder of the season...finished the year with a 2-1 record and an 8.71 ERA through 31 innings and 14 appearances...gave up 30 earned runs on 37 hits while issuing 20 walks and striking out 27...opponents hit .291 against him and was second on the team with nine hit batters...earned his first win of the season after pitching six innings of relief against Northern Illinois on Feb. 12...allowed just four hits and struck out five batters in that game in what was his first win since opening day of 2004...improved to 2-0 on the year after earning his first start against Western Illinois in the first game of a doubleheader on Feb. 19...pitched 5 2/3 innings allowing three earned runs on one hit...was the starting pitcher in what turned out to be the 1,400th career win for coach Larry Hays against Lamar on March 12th in Midland...was pulled after giving up three runs through four innings against the Cardinals....IN THE BIG 12...made just three appearances in league play and finished with a 16.62 ERA over 4 1/3 innings. 2004
