Hunter Ridge Redman... born August 25, 1992, in Lubbock, Texas... son of Dale and Penny Redman... father, Dale, was a four-year letterwinner (1981-84) in the Red Raider baseball program and finished career batting .324 in 1984... has two older siblings, sister, Rachel, and brother, Reid... brother, Reid, was a two-year letterwinner (2011-12) at Texas Tech as a third baseman and was drafted twice while at Tech by the Los Angeles Dodgers (2011 - 37th Round) and Tampa Bay Rays (2012 - 23rd Round)... is currently a pitcher in the Florida Marlins organization... was a .322 (105-for-326) career hitter in 92 games (91 starts) with 19 doubles and 52 RBI while considered the best defensive third basemen at Tech in over a decade... a natural resource management major at Texas Tech.

Redman was selected in the eighth round of the 2014 MLB Draft - becoming the highest drafted Tech catcher since 2006. He became the first Red Raider catcher to earn All-Big 12 honors (second team) during his first year at Tech since 2002.
