Saw limited action in 2004...pitched in 16 1/3 innings over the span of 15 appearances....recorded 22 strikeouts and finished with a 1-1 record.

2003
Finished the 2003 season with a 1-1 record and a 7.59 ERA...logged 32 innings of work in 13 appearances...Made his first start of the season against West Texas A&M and pitched a three innning no-decision with five strikeouts...made his second start of the season in the midweek against TCU on Feb. 18 and made it a memorable one as he pitched four solid innings retiring the first eight batters he faced...struckout a career-high 12 batters against Northern Iowa in a no-decision on March 2 in just his third career start...picked up his first career win against TCU as he pitched six solid innings against the Frogs with six strikeouts and gave up just six hits and three earned runs...suffered his first loss of the season against Baylor as he gave up five earned runs in just 1 1/3 innings of work.

2002
Played in just one game during the 2002 season in relief against Nebraska in the Big 12 Tournament at the Ballpark In Arlington.

HIGH SCHOOL
A May 2000 graduate of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas...played football and baseball...coached in baseball by Jay Higgins and in football by Jerry Gayden...was an All-City and All-District selection both his junior and senior years...tallied a combined record of 16-6 with a 3.10 ERA and 137 strikeouts...was the Dallas Morning News area leader with 82 strikeouts in 2000.

Born on August 21, 1981 to parents Tom and Leah McElroy...father Tom is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and mother Leah is also a Texas graduate...has one brother Travis (24) and a sister Tarran (18)...brother Travis also played baseball at Texas Tech (2002-03)...his grandfather Don Kilgore played fullback for SMU...he enjoys playing foosball, frisbee golf, table tennis and fishing.
