Finished the 2002 season with a batting average of 265 that included...18 hits...three doubles....three home runs...11 RBI...2002 RECAP...Had a great start to the 2002 season getting playing time in all three games against BYU...as a pinch hitter in the series he went 2-for-3 for an average of .666 and scored two runs including the winning run in the second game of the series...picked up his first home run of the 2002 season in the ninth inning against Oklahoma State on March 17 making him just the second Red Raider to get a home run in a pinch hit situation this season...picked up his second home run of the season in the Friday night game at Kansas on April 12 and got two more hits over the weekend as he started all three games...picked up his third home run of the season against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on April 19.

Received medical redshirt after playing in just seven games.

AT LOUISIANA TECH
Played in the outfield for the Bulldogs before making the decsion to transfer to Texas Tech last spring...he hit .270 during his freshman season for the Bulldogs...during his sophomore season he had an average of .415 in conference play and .283 overall...coached by Jeff Richardson
