Started at Fresno City College in the Fall of 1999 after receiving a scholarship from head coach Ron Scott…coached at Fresno City by Ron Scott and assistant coaches Eric Solberg and Quentin Stone…helped lead his team to an 80-19 record over two seasons…in 2001 Fresno City College took home the Northern California Championship and finished in second-place in the state championships…McGill hit .304 in 2001 and tallied four doubles and three home runs…in 2002 Fresno City was ranked No. 1 in Northern California the entire season….McGill earned First-Team All-Conference honors and First-Team Northern California Honors in 2002 by helping his team to a 39-16 overall record and a Central Valley Conference Championship….during his final season McGill hit .366 with 75 hits in 206 at-bats…he tallied 14 doubles, four home runs, 11 walks and 15 stolen bases.
Played high school baseball at Class AA Chowchilla Union High School in Chowchilla, Calif….he was coached by Ron and Randy Seals…his senior season at Chowchilla Union his team went 15-9 and he was named First-Team All-League and was the team’s Golden Glove Award winner and Most Valuable Player…as a senior he hit .427 with three home runs….graduated from high school in June of 1999.
Was born on September 13, 1981 to parents Steve and Ruth McGill in Merced, Calif…his mother Ruth is a secretary while his father Steve is self-employed and a graduate of Cal Poly SLO…he has an older brother Bert who is 22-years old…in his spare time Clint enjoys music.
