A mid-semester transfer from Paris Junior College turned out to be the right answer for Texas Tech for middle inning relief....had a solid year out of the Texas Tech bullpen and was tied for second on the team with a total of 23 appearances...was second on the squad with a 3.49 ERA and went 4-1 with three saves...pitched a total of 49 innings with 21 strikeouts...his first win of the season came against TCU as he pitched 4 1/3 innings of relief allowing five hits and one earned run...registered the first save by any Tech pitcher when he retired the side in the bottom of the ninth inning against Illinois.

Played two seasons at Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas...coached by Darren Clark...complied an 8-3 record his final year at PJC...tallied a 2.04 ERA, issued just eight walks and struckout 89 batters in 99 2/3 innings of work...was rewarded by the league's coaches as a first-team all-conference selection.
A 2000 graduate of Honey Grove High School in Honey Grove, Texas...played varsity football, basketball, baseball and golf...high school baseball coach was Todd Morrison...was a first-team all-district selection three different seasons and earned first-team All Red River Valley honors three years in a row....was a second-team all-district quarterback and a second-team pick on the hardwood...qualified for the regional tournament in golf three years.
Born on July 2, 1982 in Sherman, Texas...son of Joe and the late Kathy Milton...enjoys playing golf in his spare time as well as playing Playstation...majoring in Human Development and Family Studies at Texas Tech.
