AT GLENDALE COLLEGE
Started at Glendale College in the fall of 2000 after receiving a scholarship from head coach Jon Strauss…was coached at Glendale by Strauss along with assistants Vince Iucalaho, Chris Cicuto and Andy Saltsman…helped lead his team at Glendale to the WSC Championship in 2001 and 2002…was named All-Conference in each of his two seasons there and also picked up All-Region honors both years…tallied a two-year batting average of .383 with 15 home runs…Shahak also excelled in the classroom at Glendale as he was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played varsity baseball at Arcadia High School in Arcadia, Calif….was coached in high school by John Meiers and Mike Parisi…picked up Second-Team All-League honors in 1998 and 1999 and was named the Most Valuable Player at the Arcadia Spring Invitational in 1999….hit .483 with seven home runs in 1999….led his team to the Pacific League Championship in 2000….academically was an honor roll student….graduated from Arcadia High in June of 2000.

Born on July 3, 1982 in Glendale, Calif. to parents Zvi and Toni Shahak…father Zvi is a physical therapist while mother Toni is a speech pathologist…has one older sister Erin (23) and a younger brother Jordan (17)…currently a business major at Texas Tech…in his spare time he enjoys cars and computers.
