Stephen James Smith... born November 3, 1994, in Lubbock, Texas... son of Dan and Rose Smith... has a younger sister, Stephanie was a member of the 2007 Lubbock Western Little League team that finished runner-up in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, during the Little League World Series started championship game for Lubbock Western Little League on the mound in a game that had 24,200 fans in attendance a criminal justice major at Texas Tech.
Smith batted .287 (56-for-195) and led the Red Raiders with 37 walks in 2014 while being named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball.
