  • New Mexico snapped an eight-game losing skid to Texas Tech with today's 15-13 win over the Red Raiders. Tech's last loss to New Mexico was a 4-1 setback to the Lobos in Albuquerque on March 16, 2004.
  • Matt Smith and Roger Kieschnick hit their first home runs of the season today; Kieschnick hit his home run in the first inning while Smith added a two run shot in the fifth.
  • Chris Hall and Taylor Ashby hit back-to-back home runs in the fifth inning and it marked the second time this season that two players have gone back-to-back. Kyle Martin and Geoff Byrns hit back-to-back dingers in the season opener against Stephen F. Austin.
