FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU's Jake Duncan hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth to lift the Horned Frogs to a 3-2 win over No. 22 Texas Tech, completing a doubleheader sweep on Saturday afternoon at Lupton Stadium.

Texas Tech (9-4) took the early 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning on an RBI groundout by junior designated hitter Christian Colonel. Colonel plated Cody Fuller who led off the inning with a single through the left side.

Tech added to its lead in the top of the fourth inning when Cooper Fouts popped up to TCU starting pitcher Chris Ostenkowski but was unable to make the catch as he lost the ball in the lighting allowing Josh Haney to score from third. Haney reached on a one-out double to right-center field.

TCU picked up its first hits of the game in the bottom of the fourth on singles by Will Lewis and Chris Meeks. Right fielder Jake Duncan put TCU on top 3-2 when he sent a high fastball over the right field fence giving him his first home run of the season.

Duncan's three-run home run turned out to be the difference maker as the Red Raiders were never able to mount another significant scoring threat.

Juan Razo (1-1), making his first career start for Texas Tech, suffered the loss despite an outstanding pitching effort in which he tossed all eight innings allowing just five hits, no waks and struckout nine batters. Chris Osentowski picked up the win for TCU after scattering six hits through six innings along with seven strikeouts. The 10 combined strikeouts by Osentowski and reliever Robbie Findlay was a season-high for Texas Tech.

Texas Tech and TCU will complete the three-game series at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
