  • Today's game marked sixth all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Dallas Baptist and Tech's win over the Patriots evened the series at 3-3.
  • Redshirt freshman Miles Morgan struckout a career-high 12 batters on the evening en route to his second win of the season. For the second straight game, Morgan did not allow a walk and has not issued a free pass since the seventh inning against Tulane (nine straight innings).
  • Senior center fielder Brian Capps tied his career long hit streak (six games) with an RBI single in the seventh. Capps hit in six straight games in his junior season in 2005.
  • Freshman left fielder Roger Kieschnick is now tied with Brian Capps for the team lead in multiple-RBI games (six).
  • The Red Raiders are now 5-0 when scoring 10-plus runs this season and are also 5-0 when leading after the seventh inning.
  • Texas Tech is now 5-0 all-time here at Citibank Ballpark in Midland.
