  • Today's game marked the fourth meeting between Texas Tech and Campbell and the Camels earned their first-ever win in the series. Tech now leads the series 3-1.
  • Today's 7-5 loss to Campbell marked Tech's first loss at Dan Law Field this season. The Red Raiders are now 5-1 at home and 9-5 overall.
  • Senior left-hander Dustin Richardson suffered his first loss of the year after allowing six earned runs on eight hits and struckout seven.
  • Senior Brian Capps had his nine-game hitting streak come to an end today as he finished the afternoon 0-for-3 with a walk.
  • Sophomore catcher Matt Smith, who went 0-for-5 against Arizona State on Tuesday, rebounded day with a 3-for-5 day at the plate with two runs scored. The three-hit game is his fourth of the year and it was his seventh multiple-hit outing.
  • Freshman left fielder Roger Kieschnick committed his first fielding miscue of the season when he was charged with a throwing error in the fifth. At the plate, Kieschnick went 2-for-5 and now has the team lead with nine multiple-hit games this season.
  • Texas Tech suffered its first loss of the season when out-hitting an opponent. Tech out-hit the Camels 13-10.
  • The Tech defense committed three errors on the afternoon and are now 1-4 when committing two-plus errors.
