That's a tough game to lose. We got back in the game and we had a runner on third in the eighth with less than two outs and had the guy we wanted hitting and their guy made a pitch and our guy struck out. We didn't get a lot of hits. We had some opportunities because I thought we were patient with their left-hander and got some walks and had some runners on base.
We gave ourselves some opportunities to maybe lose some battles early but win the war in the end and we just didn't finish it outside of Bonham (Hough) really jumping a ball and really getting us going, getting us even. Offensively, we were average at best, but we really pitched well. Bobby (Doran) gave us a chance to win and Jay kept us in the game in the eighth and it came down to giving them a couple of free bases in the ninth and a bloop single makes us pay.
On Bobby Doran's Outing:
Another good outing. He pitches and really only made two (mistakes). The two balls they scored on, he hung a breaking ball and the guy singled to score and then the fastball that flipped over and got over the middle of the plate and the guy hit it out. The guy pitched really well and makes only two bad pitches in the game and doesn't get a win. At least we got him off the hook, but still, we've got a chance to be really good. We're right on the edge but it's a fine line. When you're playing good people, you've got to be extra sharp. I thought we played good defense and I think we'll play well tomorrow.

On tonight's outing:
I pitched well enough to get a no decision. It kind of stinks looking back on it but that's fine.
What do you and the team address heading into tomorrow's game?
SS Joey Kenworthy
I'm not worried about the offense. They did their job and they're going out there and trying their best to give us some runs. We're not worried about it. They'll get going. That's really the first time all year that we've seen great pitching instead of good pitching. It's taking a little bit of time but we're on a big stage and they'll get it done. We're not here to go 0-3. We're going to come out and get a win.
On what to think about before the game against Houston;
We've got to come out of this weekend with at least one win. It's tough to bounce back after two losses but Houston is a good team and we're a good team as well. We showed that tonight. If we just go out there tomorrow and get a win it will be good for us.
On the level of competition at the Houston College Classic:
I think what we saw was that's the difference between being good and being great. Spence told us in the postgame talk that you can be good if you want, but if you want to be great you have to win late in ballgames and be clutch in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings like they did.
