Texas Tech falls to 8-7 on the season and has now lost two-straight games dating back to a 13-9 loss at home against Gonzaga on Wednesday.
TCU has now won four-straight against the Red Raiders and lead the all-time series 70-68-1. Tonight's game marked the 139th all-time meeting between the two schools on the diamond. The TCU series is the third most played in school history.
Texas Tech only allowed three earned runs on the night as defensive miscues led to five unearned TCU runs.

Sophomore designated hitter Scott LeJeune belted a three-run home run in the third to pull Tech within two runs at 6-4. The home run was his second of the season with his first coming against Michigan on Feb. 21.
Junior catcher Jeremy Mayo belted his second home run of the season in the fourth inning. His other home run this year came against Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 25.
Freshman right fielder Jamodrick McGruder finished the game with two triples and those were his first two extra base hits of the season.
