LUBBOCK, Texas - No. 19 Texas A&M played for the big inning by scoring six runs in the fourth and four in the seventh to pick up a 10-5 win over No. 23 Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon in front of 3,631 fans at Dan Law Field. The win is the first by Texas A&M at Dan Law Field since 1997 and ties the series at 1-1 heading into Sunday's finale.

Texas A&M stormed out to a 6-0 lead in the fourth inning as the Aggies got just two hits but drew four walks off Tech starter Juan Razo. In the inning, head coach Larry Hays was ejected by home plate umpire David Rogers, marking his first ejection in nine years.

Junior designated hitter Christian Colonel put Tech on the board for the first time in the sixth when he hit a two-run home run over the left field fence. The home run was his first of the season. Tech plated one final run in the inning when A&M reliver Kyle Parcus plated Doug Beck with a wild pitch.

Texas A&M pushed the game out of reach by scoring four runs in the seventh on four hits and a solo home run by designated hitter Jordy Mitchell.

Texas Tech cut the A&M lead to five by plating two runs in the bottom of the seventh on RBI singles by Doug Beck and Josh Haney

Junior Juan Razo suffered the loss for Texas Tech after surrendering two earned runs on three hits and five walks. Zach Dixon improved to 4-0 for Texas A&M as he allowed just three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings.

Texas Tech and Texas A&M will play the rubber match of the three-game series beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
