Baylor clinched the series with today's 14-4 win over the Red Raiders. The series loss is the first of the season for the Red Raiders and the third straight series loss against Baylor in Waco.
Texas Tech surrendered a season-high 12 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and marked the most runs given up in an inning since Tech gave up 11 (fourth inning) against UNLV on March 7, 2006.
Senior shortstop Kyle Martin hit his third home run in as many days and has now hit a home run in six straight games against Baylor. He leads the team with 10 home runs on the year.
Despite the series loss, Texas Tech still leads the all-time series 70-63.
