Red Raiders Drop New Mexico State, 10-3|

LUBBOCK, Texas - Roger Kieschnick plated a pair of runs on two doubles to help lead the Texas Tech Red Raiders to a 10-3 win over New Mexico State on Tuesday evening at Dan Law Field.
The win moves Texas Tech to 19-10 overall while New Mexico State drops to 13-16.
New Mexico State plated the first run of the game on an RBI double by Joe Leghorn in the top of the first to give the Aggies an early 1-0 lead.
The Red Raiders came firing back in the bottom of the second thanks to pair of RBI singles by Doug Thennis and Chris Hall. After New Mexico State tied the game with a single run in the top of the fifth, Texas Tech put the game out of reach with four runs in the bottom half of the inning.
In the fifth, Roger Kieschnick delivered his first double of the game to the gap in right-center field and drove in Kyle Martin and Jason Seefeld. Tech plated its final two runs of the inning on a two-run throwing error by Aggie third baseman Marcos Rosales.
The Red Raiders added three more runs in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run double by Matt Smith and a sacrifice fly by Hall.
Paul Gonzalez (4-1) picked up the win in relief for Tech as he tossed two innings of relief allowing one run on three hits. Noah Garza was saddled with the loss for New Mexico State as he gave up four earned runs on six hits through 4 2/3 innings.
Texas Tech will return to Big 12 Conference action on Friday when the Red Raiders open up a three-game series at Kansas State. First pitch on Friday night is set for 6:30 p.m.
