  • Tonight's game marked the 127th all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Baylor. Baylor's 2-1 win pulls the Bears with seven games of tying the all-time series as Tech now leads 67-60.
  • Tonight's 2-1 win by Baylor marked the first Baylor win in Lubbock since a 10-6 win over the Red Raiders back on March 22, 1998. Tech had won nine straight (three sweeps) over Baylor prior to tonight's game.
  • Miles Morgan pitched his second complete game of the season and finished with 11 strikeouts which was his third highest total of the season. Morgan is the Big 12 leader in strikeouts with 74.
  • Joey Callender and Willie Rueda each picked up stolen bases to end a four-game streak in which the Red Raiders had not stolen a bag.
  • Tonight's attendance of 3,971 is the second highest attended game by the Red Raiders this season.
  • Tech catcher Matt Smith went 0-for-4 at the plate tonight and marked just the sixth time that the sophomore has been held without at least one hit.
