  • Texas Tech now stands at 13-15 on the season and 3-4 in Big 12 play.

  • Tech is now 26-15-1 against the Wildcats in the all-time series and 13-5-1 in games played in Lubbock against Kansas State.

  • Junior Jay Johnson (2-3) earned his first win since Tech's March 9 victory over Gonzaga. The junior left-hander went two innings, allowing no runs off just one hit.

  • Taylor Ashby matched his season-high of three hits that he set earlier this season against Bethune-Cookman. The senior outfielder finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs.

  • Sophomore Scott LeJeune set a new season high with four hits as he drove in a run while scoring two runs on his own. The performance marked LeJeune's team-leading 11th multiple-hit game of the year and the ninth time to have multiple-RBIs.
