LUBBOCK, Texas - Josh Haney went 4-for-6 with five RBI to lead the Texas Tech Red Raiders to a commanding 16-1 win over West Texas A&M on Tuesday night at Dan Law Field. The win marks Tech's 39th straight in the series.

Texas Tech (21-12) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as Tech got the first two runners on base as Cameron Blair and Dallas Braden led off with singles. Senior third baseman gave the Red Raiders the lead when he doubled down the left field line scoring both Blair and Braden.

Tech blew the game open in the bottom of the second as the Red Raiders belted out six runs on three hits. Haney hit his sixth home run of the season in the inning when he delivered a two run blow to left field.

The Red Raiders tacked on seven more runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth inning to push the Red Raider lead to 16-1. Josh Brady hit his 12th home run of the season in the sixth as he deposited a two-run shot over the left field wall.

Barrett Pliler (3-1) picked up the win for Tech as he pitched three scoreless innings without surrendering a hit. James Schroeder (5-5) suffered the loss for West Texas A&M as he allowed six earned runs on five hits in just one inning of work.

Texas Tech returns to action on Friday night as the Red Raider begin a three-game Big 12 series against Kansas State. First pitch on Friday is set for 6:30 p.m. and the Red Raiders will be holding Turn Back The Clock Night as the team will wear replica uniforms from the 1927 season.
