LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech dropped game two of its three-game series against No. 19 Oklahoma State, 11-5, on Saturday evening at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.

The Red Raiders (22-25, 7-13 Big 12) scored four of their five runs in the ninth inning while Oklahoma State (33-12, 8-8 Big 12) finished with seven extra-base hits while five Cowboys finished with a multi-hit game.

Tech starting pitcher Dominic Moreno (3-3) took the loss while pitching 4.2 innings allowing six runs on nine hits with two strikeouts and three walks.

OSU starter Tyler Nurdin (2-2) earned the win going 6.1 innings with six strikeouts while scattering eight hits and one walk allowing just one run.

The Cowboys plated three runs in the first inning off Moreno with four base hits. OSU scored at least one run in four of the final six innings of the game - including four runs in the ninth which was sparked by a three-run homer by Gage Green.

The Cowboys hit two homers in the game while right fielder Zach Fish hit his seventh home run of the season with a two-run shot over the right-field wall in the fifth inning.

Tech scored its first run of the game in the fifth inning on third baseman Jake Barrios' sacrifice fly, which scored catcher Mason Randolph who reached base on a fielder's choice.

The Red Raiders scored four runs in the ninth while Barrios, second baseman Bryant Burleson and pinch hitter Scott LeJeune each drove in at least one run. Barrios scored a run on a fielder's choice while two batters later Burleson had an RBI single to left field to score two Red Raiders. Senior pinch hitter Scott LeJeune singled to left field to score first baseman Eric Gutierrez, who reached base with a walk in the inning.

Freshman designated hitter Jarrard Poteete went 3-for-4, Barrios tallied two RBI, Burleson went 2-for-5 with two RBI and left fielder Brett Bell went 3-for-4 with a pair of infield base hits.

The Red Raiders and Cowboys will conclude their three-game Big 12 series on Sunday, May 5 with a 2 p.m. first pitch at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
