  • The win clinches a spot for Texas Tech in the upcoming Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Baseball Tournament that will be held May 26-30 at Ameriquest Field in Arlington (formerly named The Ballpark in Arlington).
  • Texas Tech has now matched its season best win streak at seven games and has now won 15 of its last 17 games.
  • Senior right-hander Corey Gerstner picked up the win in relief and improved to 6-0 on the season. His 1 2/3 scoreless innings dropped his ERA to below 2.00 as he is now at 1.99.
  • Cameron Blair's single in the seventh inning extended his hitting streak to 18 games and that streak is the longest active by any current Big 12 player.
  • Tonight's attendance of 3,921 was the largest Friday night crowd of the season.
  • Senior third baseman Josh Haney made his 100th-career start tonight for the Red Raiders. Haney joined Tech last season from the junior college ranks and has been a part of every single game in his two years.
