May 8, 2003 LUBBOCK, Texas - Junior Christian Colonel went 5-for-6 with five RBI to lead the Texas Tech Red Raiders to a 20-9 win over the Wofford Terriers in non-conference baseball action on Thursday night at Dan Law Field. Wofford (8-36) jumped out to 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Tech starter walked in a run after surrendering one hit and three walks in the inning. Texas Tech (27-23) regained the lead in the bottom of the first when Brent Fossum reached on a leadoff single and Scooter Jordan was issued a walk on four pitches. Christian Colonel put Tech on the board with his sixth home run of the year when he belted a three-run shot over the left field wall.
