Today's game marked the 40th all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. The Cowboys lead the series 21-19.
The series sweep by OSU is the third against Texas Tech this season and the most against the Red Raiders since 1992 when Tech was swept by Texas (twice), Texas A&M and TCU. The Red Raiders have now been swept in the regular-season finale in each of the last two seasons and both sweeps came in the state of Oklahoma. Oklahoma swept Texas Tech to end the season in 2005.
Freshman left fielder Roger Kieschnick has now hit safely in 46 of 55 games this season.
Sophomore Matt Smith was held without a hit over the weekend and marks the first time this season that he has gone without at least one hit in a three-game series.
