Senior first baseman Patrick Smart tied a career-high this evening with three hits and picked up his first home run of the season. Smart hit a two-run dinger in the bottom of the third and was his first home run since Kansas State on April 17, 2005.
Freshman left fielder Roger Kieschnick has now hit safely in 47 of 57 games this season and earned his ninth home run of the year.
