Texas Rangers Visit Dan Law Field During Winter Caravan|

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech baseball team had some visitors stop by Dan Law Field on Thursday. The American League champion Texas Rangers were in town for their Winter Caravan, which took place at the Lubbock Civic Center Thursday afternoon. Following the event the Rangers representatives stopped by the Red Raiders' baseball and football facilities.
Texas Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland, left-handed pitcher Derek Holland, TV color commentator and former Rangers player/general manager Tom Grieve and third base coach Dave Anderson were all in town for the event.
Both the Rangers and the Red Raiders are looking forward to the middle of February as pitchers and catchers report to spring training on Feb. 16 while Texas Tech has its opening day scheduled for Feb. 18, as they host the Red Raider Classic at Dan Law Field.
Texas Tech baseball begins team practices on Friday, Jan. 28.
