Fans will have numerous opportunities to see some of the top programs in college baseball in Lubbock this season. Four of Tech's opponents who travel to Lubbock this season have already received a national pre-season ranking in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Top 40 poll, including TCU (No. 15), Arizona State (No. 16), New Mexico (No. 33) and Dallas Baptist (No. 39).
Opening Day is just about a month away as Northern Illinois is set for the Red Raiders season opener on Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Tech opens the season hosting the fourth annual Brooks Wallace Memorial Classic (Feb. 15-17) while BYU and Northern Colorado make up the weekend slate.
The Red Raiders home schedule is highlighted by four Big 12 series in Lubbock as TCU (Mar. 29-31), Kansas (Apr. 19-21), Oklahoma State (May 3-5) and defending conference champion Baylor (May 16-18) all head to the South Plains.
