LUBBOCK, Texas - Today's series opener against St. John's has been postponed due to sub-freezing temperatures in the Lubbock metro area.

Although weather forecasts for Saturday are not promising, the two teams have rescheduled game time for 1 p.m. In the event that weather conditions improve on Saturday afternoon the two teams will play a doubleheader.

At this time, Sunday's game remains at 1 p.m. but could be changed in order to accommodate a doubleheader based on what happens on Saturday.

Fans holding tickets for today's game can use those tickets for any of the three games played this weekend or any game left on Tech's 2006 home schedule. For the latest information on the Texas Tech-St. John's baseball series, please log on to www.texastech.com.
