Texas Tech Drops Two Spots to No. 26 in Collegiate Baseball Poll
Texas Tech plays at Arizona State and at TCU this week

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech received its second consecutive ranking in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Top 30 poll with a No. 26 ranking, the publication announced Monday morning.
Tech (9-3), who entered the poll last week at No. 24, went 1-2 last week at the prestigious Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park, where they suffered losses against top-five opponents Arkansas (3-1) and Rice (6-2) while picking up a win in its final game against Houston, 10-4.
Texas Tech has played half of its games this season against nationally-ranked opponents through 12 games this season. Tech will play four consecutive games against ranked teams this week with a trips scheduled to play Arizona State (Mar. 6) and TCU (Mar. 9-11) later this week.
Last week's national ranking marked Tech's first in a major college poll since 2005. The Red Raiders have six games remaining on its schedule before their first Big 12 Conference series at Baylor, Mar. 16-18, at Baylor Ballpark in Waco.
