UT Arlington Game NotesTEXAS TECH OPENS HOMESTAND HOSTING UT ARLINGTON
Coming off a midweek series split at defending College World Series champion Arizona, the Texas Tech Red Raiders (8-6) return home to open a five-game homestand, which begins this weekend hosting UT Arlington (8-4) for a three-game series (Mar. 8-10) in Lubbock at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. The opening game of the series will be nationally televised on FOX College Sports with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders are 6-1 at home this season while UT Arlington has only played one road game - a 2-1 loss at Texas. The Red Raiders won the final game of its midweek series at No. 16 Arizona, 5-2, on Wednesday. Tech has won four of its last six games overall. The Mavericks - who are making their first trip to Lubbock since 2005, are coming off a 6-1 midweek victory over No. 10 Oklahoma in Arlington on Tuesday.
