FIRST PITCH
Texas Tech has won six of seven and seven of its last nine games heading into this weekend's Big 12 series against Nebraska (March 25-27) at Dan Law Field. It is Tech's Big 12 home opening series while the Cornhuskers will be playing in their first conference action this season. The Red Raiders come in off a 7-6 midweek victory over Dallas Baptist on the road while Nebraska has won six in a row, which includes its midweek two-game series sweep over Northern Colorado in Lincoln.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Texas Tech and Nebraska will end its 15-year Big 12 history against one another this weekend as Nebraska holds a 30-19 advantage in the all-time series. Only five of the all-time meetings came outside of Big 12 play (1990-1996) while Tech holds a narrow 12-11 lead in the series in Lubbock. The Huskers have won three in a row and seven of the last nine meetings, although Tech took two-of-three against Nebraska in the last meeting in Lubbock in 2009. Nebraska swept the series last year in Lincoln.
