NO. 30 TEXAS TECH HOSTS K-STATE FOR BIG 12 SERIES
No. 30 Texas Tech (25-11, 5-7 Big 12) welcomes Kansas State (20-13, 2-4 Big 12) for a Big 12 series in Lubbock this weekend, Apr. 11-13, at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Game one Friday is at 6:30 p.m., game two is Saturday at 3 p.m. following the annual Texas Tech football spring game, and Sunday's series finale at 1:07 p.m. will have a FOX College Sports television broadcast. The Red Raiders have reached the midway point of their Big 12 schedule with a 5-7 record - which includes playing three of four conference series on the road. Tech dropped 2-of-3 games at Baylor and Oklahoma State and against Texas at home while winning 2-of-3 on the road at TCU. Tech has 20 regular season games remaining, 13 of which are on its home field. With six weeks of the season remaining, Tech will play at home during four weekends (3 conference series, 1 non-conference), have one off weekend and travel to Lawrence where they will play its final Big 12 road games of the season at Kansas. After starting the season 1-7, K-State won 12 straight games (Feb. 28-Mar. 19) and enters the weekend 7-6 during its last 13 games. K-State is 5-9 this season in road games and 8-11 in games away from home.
