Four members of the Texas Tech baseball team were honored earlier today by Big 12 head coaches for their efforts this season. Outfielders Marco Cunningham and Jason Rainey and designated hitter Chaz Eiguren were named to the All-Big 12 second team while pitcher Kevin Tracey earned honorable mention honors.

Cunningham and Rainey have played in every inning of every game this season in center and leftfield, respectively. Cunningham was recently named to the Big 12 All-Tournament team after going 7-16 (.438) in four games. Rainey leads the Red Raiders in slugging percentage (.667) and leads the team with 12 home runs and a school-record nine triples.

Eiguren has lead the club in hitting the entire season and the conference in RBI. The designated hitter is currently batting .369 while knocking home 74 runs. Tracey is the pitching staff's ace after totaling nine wins, nine complete games and seven saves in 26 games this year.

Texas Tech opens up NCAA Regional play on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. The third-seeded Red Raiders will play No. 2-seed Rice followed by host Houston and No. 4-seed Princeton at 7 p.m.
