LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech baseball players Chris Hall and Brian Cloud were both recently named to the Sierra Baseball League's inaugural All-Star Game that will be held Sat., July 12th at Tony Zupo Field in Lodi, California. Cloud will represent the North squad, while Hall will join the South team.

Cloud was named an honorary All-Star and will not play in the game after having an outstanding start for the Lodi GrapeSox. He was one of Tech's top relievers in 2007 with a 1-2 record, two saves and a 4.70 ERA.

Hall, on the other hand, will start at shortstop for the south squad after posting a .391 batting average while playing for the San Luis Obispo Blues. Hall hit .318 with 33 RBIs for the Red Raiders last season while starting every game at shortstop.

The south team will be managed by Hall's regular season manager Chal Fanning, a former Missouri assistant. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on the West Coast. The game can be heard live nationally through Teamline.
