Jerad McCrummen Named a Northwoods League All-Star
McCrummen has made 48 career appearances during his two-year Tech career

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech right-handed pitcher Jerad McCrummen (Mesquite, Texas) has been named a Northwoods League All-Star, league officials announced Friday.
McCrummen, who enters his senior season at Tech in 2013, has helped lead the Willmar Stingers to a 26-18 record this summer which places them second in league standings.
The Northwoods League, which is considered by many one of the top collegiate summer leagues in the nation, will host its annual All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 24 at 7:35 p.m. (CT) at Warner Park in Madison, Wisc.
McCrummen has achieved success this summer primarily in a starting role with a 4-1 record with a 2.68 ERA in seven starts (nine appearances) with 40.1 innings pitched allowing just 12 earned runs with 20 strikeouts. In fact, McCrummen is ranked eighth in the Northwoods League in ERA.
He had a solid season for the Red Raiders in 2012 making 22 appearances out of the bullpen with a 3-2 record and 4.56 ERA in 25.2 innings pitched with 19 strikeouts while opponents batted just .242 against him.
In his two-year Tech career, McCrummen is 4-3 in 48 relief appearances with 53.2 innings and 38 strikeouts.
McCrummen isn't the only Red Raider on the Willmar Stingers this season as left-handed pitcher Andre Wheeler is also spending his first summer in the Northwoods League.
