LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech baseball team was out in the community of Lubbock last weekend volunteering at the First United Methodist Chuch.

The Red Raiders and numerous volunteers from the local area provided a helping hand at the church, which for the 21st consecutive year served a Thanksgiving meal to those in the Lubbock community.

Tech coaches, student-athletes and support staff helped at the event the weekend before the Red Raiders will head home to be with their families for the Thanksgiving holiday.

"Anytime we can reach out and lend a helping hand, we are more than welcome to do that," Tech head coach Tim Tadlock said. "Our guys really embrace helping out. At the end of the day they really feel good about being here."
