LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head baseball coach Dan Spencer announced Tuesday that six student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent during the early signing period to join the Red Raider program in 2011-12. The signing class includes five high school standouts and one junior college prospect. Five of the student-athletes are from Texas with one signee from Arizona.

"Our signing class was very specific to what our needs were," head coach Dan Spencer said. "We really like the six guys that we signed. With only one senior (on this year's roster), we will have to wait and see how the draft plays out to see whether or not we will add a guy in the spring or not. Our staff did a great job on this recruiting class."
