OMAHA, Neb. - - Ole Miss ended Texas Tech's run in the College World Series in walk-off fashion Tuesday afternoon as John Gatlin lined a RBI single to right field that sent the Rebels to a 2-1 victory at TD Ameritrade Park.

The Red Raiders, who were appearing in their first ever College World Series, end the season 45-21 overall in what was the biggest turnaround year in program history. Ole Miss, meanwhile, improves to 47-20 overall and will play the loser of tonight's TCU and Virginia game.

Texas Tech will likely conclude the season ranked among the top eight in every national collegiate baseball poll, which would mark its highest finish since the final week of the 1997 season.
