Jaye Crockett is the most experienced player on the Texas Tech roster and has been named team captain for the 2012-13 season. Crockett has played in 62 games for the Red Raiders, notching six career starts. Earned second team Academic All-Big 12 honors as a sophomore.

SOPHOMORE (2011-12)
Earned second team Academic All-Big 12 honors ... after missing the season opener, played in 30 straight games for the Red Raiders ... took on the role of sixth man, coming off the bench in 26 of 30 appearances averaging 25 minutes a game ... finished third on the team in scoring 8.8 points per game and second in rebounding (5.7 per game) ... lead the Red Raiders in conference games in scoring (10.7 points), rebounds (6.0), steals (1.0) and field goal percentage (47.5) ... recorded 14 double-digit scoring performances ... notched a career-high 19 points at Texas A&M (01/14/12) ... added double-doubles at Oklahoma (14 points/10 rebounds), at Missouri (11 points/11 rebounds), against Oklahoma State (16 points/14 rebounds) and versus OSU at the Big 12 Championship (12 points/11 rebounds) ... named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters.
