Dayna McCutchin is in her first year as a sports dietitian with the Texas Tech Athletics Department. She will serve as the Sports Dietitian for all sports for Tech Athletics and work primarily with Strength and Conditioning Director and Director of Sports Nutrition, Tory Stephens.
McCutchin graduated from Texas Tech in May 2010 with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and proceeded to start her Master's Degree in Nutritional Sciences in the summer of 2010. She then completed the Texas Tech Dietetic Internship in June 2011, and Master's Degree in Nutritional Sciences in May 2012. With the knowledge gained from her education and experience, McCutchin brings several skills and competitive advantages to Texas Tech.
McCutchin is a registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Licensed Dietitian with the State of Texas. She is a member of the Texas Association of Nutrition and Dietetics, Lubbock Association of Nutrition and Dietetics, Sports and Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition practice group, Weight Management Nutrition practice group, Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association, American College of Sports Medicine member, Exercise, Athletics, Strength Academy Member, and National Academy of Sports Medicine Member.
A graduate of Idalou High School, McCutchin married Zach McCutchin, from Levelland, Texas, in September 2010.
