A graduate of Ouachita Parish High School...Casey Jones was Jay's coach...averaged 27.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game as a senior...named Louisiana 5A All-State First Team in his junior and senior seasons...finished runner-up in voting for Louisiana 5A MVP as a senior...led team to state quarterfinals both his junior and senior years...OPHS team notched a 72-8 record in Jay's last two seasons and were District Champs both seasons...earned All-District honors for 4 years...twice named District MVP.
