PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH Terran Petteway was a two-time All-State and All-District selection at Galveston Ball High School for head coach Jerald Temple ... earned two Offensive MVP and Player of the Year awards and All-Region honors ... two-time district most valuable player ... led coach Jerald Temple's Tornados to a regional championship and four district titles ... as a senior, averaged 27 points, nine rebounds and 3.5 assists per game ... rated as the 10th best player in the state for the 2011 recruiting class, according to TexasHoops.com ... also recruited by Auburn, Colorado, Clemson, SMU and UTEP ... also ran track at Ball High School, where he was a regional finalist in the 4x400.
