Robert Turner, who was head coach Tubby Smith’s first signee when he took over the program in 2014, started more games (61) than any player in the program over a two-year period. He appeared in all 62 games averaging 8.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals during that span. He scored in double figures in 28 career games and recorded a career-high 21 points against Northern Arizona in 2013.

SENIOR (2014-15)
Played in 32 games, starting 29 ... scored in double digits in 14 games ... had a season-high 19 points against Air Force ... was second on the team in free throw percentage in Big 12 games (81.8 percent) and second on the team in free throw shooting all 32 games (72.5 percent) … led the Red Raiders in assists for the second straight season (59) … led Texas Tech to its biggest upset since 2009, when the Red Raiders knocked off No. 9 Iowa State, after recording his first career double-double (13 points / 10 rebounds) … went perfect from the free throw line eight times, including a 7-for-7 performance against West Virginia en route to 18 points … had 13 points and four assists in Texas Tech’s upset of Kansas State.

JUNIOR (2013-14)
Played and started in all 32 games last season ... scored in double digits in 14 games ... recorded a career-best 21 points against Northern Arizona ... finished fifth in the Big 12 in steals with 1.31 per game (42 total steals) ... was third in conference games with 1.5 steals per game (27 total) ... his 27 steals are the fifth most for a Red Raider in conference games ... had a career-high five steals in Texas Tech’s upset of No. 19 Oklahoma State ... notched 14 points and five rebounds in Texas Tech’s upset of No. 12 Baylor ... led the team in minutes played with 904 ... finished third on the team in scoring at 9.3 points per game.

PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
Robert Turner led New Mexico Junior College to the NJCAA National Tournament after winning the NJCAA Region V Tournament in Lubbock ... the Thunderbirds finished the season 27-7 overall and 12-4 in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference ... earned honorable mention All-WJCAC honors after averaging 10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists in league play ... averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the season ... in 30 games, had 14 double-digit scoring efforts and 23 multiple assist games as a sophomore ... had a season-high 23 points against Western Texas ... as a freshman, was a part of a 23-9 NMJC squad that finished second in the WJCAC ... in 32 games, averaged 5.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists ... played his senior season at Augusta (Ga.) Laney High School, where he led the Wildcats (29-2) to the Georgia Class AA semifinals ... averaged 13.2 points and 4.1 assists as a senior, earning All-Area honorable mention honors ... played his first three seasons at Augusta (Ga.)
