HIGH SCHOOL: Ronald played on the varsity basketball team for three years for Coach Russ Gilmore as his Eagles won three Class 5A State Championships in New Mexico. As a senior, he averaged 25.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists per game...was First Team All-State as a senior and First Team All-South Plains...was selected First Team All-District in both his junior and senior years...MVP of the district as a senior...scored 1,130 points in his three-year varsity career...nominee for McDonald's All-American team...selected All-State three times by The Albuquerque Journal...named USA Today and Gatorade Player of the Year for New Mexico...National Honor Society member...New Mexico Honor Scholar...Black History Club...NEA Read Across America...high school record 77-6 and three-time State Champs.
