Jordan Tolbert had one of the most significant freshman campaigns in Red Raider history. He led the team in scoring (11.5 points) and rebounding (5.7). Tolbert was also a standout in the classroom, earning selection to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters, as well as being named to the 2011-12 Dean's List.

FRESHMAN (2011-12)
Statistically, his freshman campaign ranks as one of the best freshman efforts in school annals, joining Red Raider standouts Jim Reed (1952-53), Rick Bullock (1972-73), Will Flemons (1989-90), Jason Sasser (1992-93), Jarrius Jackson (2003-04) and Martin Zeno (2004-05) ... started 29 of 31 games as a freshman ... led the team in scoring (11.5 points), rebounding (5.7), field goal percentage (52.1), field goals made (126), field goals attempted (242), free throws made (105) and free throws attempted (146) ... his 357 points ranks fifth all-time at Texas Tech for freshmen, while his 177 rebounds ranks fourth ... was named the Big 12 Rookie of the Week on Jan. 2 ... only player to have scored in every game ... recorded 27 points against TCU on Dec. 6. It was the second top total for a Red Raider freshman in the Big 12 Era ... equaled the mark with 27 against Cal State-Bakersfield on Dec. 27 ... added 21 at ORU and 22 against Grambling State ... had a then career-high 20 points and eight rebounds against Indiana State ... is one of only two freshman at Tech in the last 20 years to have five 20-point games ... has recorded five rebounds in 20 of 31 games this season ... had nine rebounds against DePaul, A&M-Corpus Christi, Oral Roberts, Texas A&M and Texas ... recorded first career double-double at Oklahoma State with 13 points and 13 rebounds ... added 10 rebounds against Oklahoma ... notched 18 points and eight rebounds against K-State... added 11 points and eight boards at K-State in Manhattan ... chipped in 15 points and nine boards against Texas ... 19 points and six rebounds at Baylor ... averaged 13.8 points and 5.7 rebounds over the final four games of the season ... was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters ... was named to the 2011-12 Dean's List.
