Sophomore Jordan Tolbert recorded his second career double-double with a season-high 18 points and career-best 13 rebounds. The last time Tolbert recorded a double-double was on Jan. 4, 2012, when he notched 13 points and 13 rebounds at Oklahoma State. It was the 24th time in his career that he has scored in double figures and the 49th consecutive game he has scored for Texas Tech. Tolbert's 18 points are the most for the sophomore since recording 19 points at Baylor on Feb. 27, 2012.
Texas Tech entered the game with a perfect record when Tolbert records eight or more rebounds, but fell to 6-1 after the loss to Texas.
Freshman Dusty Hannahs extended his consecutive games with a 3-pointer to 10 straight. Hannahs finished the day with 10 points. It was the third time he has reached double digits this season.
Texas Tech sophomore Clark Lammert played against his brother, Texas' Conner Lammert, for the first time collegiately. Clark finished with four rebounds and no points, while Conner had five points and five rebounds.
