LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Huskers' Aleks Maric scored 22 points and grab 14 rebounds as Nebraska turned back a Texas Tech rally in the second half to beat the Red Raiders 73-62 on Saturday.

Nebraska (14-7, 3-5 Big 12) led by 12 at halftime and was up 18 points after Cookie Miller's 3-pointer made the score 60-42 midway through the second frame. But Texas Tech (12-10, 3-5) went on a 13-2 run, and Mike Singletary's jumper cut the Nebraska lead to 62-55. The Huskers countered with a 8-3 spurt that put the game out of reach.

Nebraska took control of the game with a 21-2 run after trailing by 8-points. The Huskers got a three-point play on Miller's driving layup with 12:20 remaining, then held the Red Raiders to just one field goal in the next seven minutes.

Maric scored 17 first-half points for the Huskers. Ryan Anderson finished with 19 points, Steve Harley had 12 and Miller had 10.

Singletary scored 10 points for Texas Tech.
