Attendance: 9,372. Texas Tech recorded its second-largest crowd of the season. The largest crowd of the season was on Dec. 1, when the Red Raiders hosted No. 9 Arizona.
Texas Tech now leads the all-time series with TCU 74-47 overall and 41-14 in Lubbock.
The Red Raiders have won three Big 12 games for the first time since 2011.
With its two wins over TCU, Texas Tech has swept a conference opponent for the first time since 2010, when the Red Raiders swept Oklahoma.
Texas Tech snapped a nine-game losing streak, which included going 0-8 in the month of February. The Red Raiders also won for just the second time on a Saturday. Texas Tech is now 2-10 in Saturday games and 8-7 on the other six days of the week. The Red Raiders’ other Saturday win was a 62-53 win over TCU in Fort Worth on Jan. 5.
Texas Tech shot a season-high 62.2 percent from the field, hitting 28 of 45 shots, including 4 of 9 from beyond the arc. It is the highest field goal percentage since Nov. 20, 2011, when the Red Raiders shot 62.9 percent (22-35) against Stephen F. Austin.
Texas Tech recorded 15 assists for the first time since the North Carolina A&T game on Dec. 28, when the Red Raiders dished out 18 assists. It is the fifth game this season with at least 15 assists but the first during Big 12 play. The last time Texas Tech had 15 assists in Big 12 play came against Oklahoma on March 2, 2011, when the Red Raiders dished out 19 assists.
For the sixth straight game and seventh time in the last eight games, Texas Tech committed less than 15 turnovers. The Red Raiders entered the game averaging 14.7 turnovers per game and finished the game with 11.
For the fifth time in the last six games, Texas Tech has failed to reach 62 percent from the free throw line. Against TCU, Texas Tech hit 12 of 20 from the line (60 percent).
Junior Dejan Kravic recorded his first career double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. He was 7-11 from the field and added three assists and a block in the game. For the season, Kravic is averaging 8.8 points and 5.1 rebounds.
Sophomore Jordan Tolbert recorded his sixth career 20-point game, finishing the afternoon with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field and 4 of 5 from the line. He also added six rebounds, a block and a steal.
Jordan Tolbert is the fifth different player this season to record 20 points in a game for Texas Tech this season.
Freshman Josh Gray finished the game with 11 points, six assists, three rebounds and three steals. It is his 15 double-digit scoring effort of the season and his seventh five-plus assist game. Through the first18 games of the season, Gray had 47 assists and 58 turnovers. Over the last nine games, Gray has dished out 43 assists and had 29 turnovers.
