  • Texas Tech is competing in its 17th Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship. The Red Raiders are 13-16 all-time in the tournament and 8-7 in first round games.
  • The Red Raiders are 1-3 all-time against West Virginia and 1-1 against West Virginia in the postseason. Texas Tech faced the Mountaineers in the 2005 NCAA Tournament in Albuquerque, N.M., where WVU won, 65-60.

It is the first time Texas Tech has had five players in double figures since Texas Tech had Nick Okorie (10), Darko Coharevic (10), D'walyn Roberts (12), Brad Reese (14) and Mike Singletary (28) did it against Mississippi in the NIT on March 23, 2010.
  • Ty Nurse (Sr. / G / Vancouver, B.C., Canada) has now recorded four games this season with at least two three pointers. He has 19 multiple trey games for his career. He finished the night with 12 points and connected on 3 of 4 treys and 3 of 4 from the line. It was the 14th double-digit scoring performance of his career.
  • Jaye Crockett (R-Jr. / F / Clovis, N.M.) had 18 points off the bench for Texas Tech. It is the 27th top total in a Big 12 Championship game. He tied a career high with three 3-pointers in the game. He added four rebounds and an assist in 20 minutes.
  • Josh Gray (Fr. / G / Lake Charles, La.) chipped in 10 points, six assists and seven rebounds and two steals. His six assists ranks eighth among Red Raiders in the Big 12 Championships.
  • Jordan Tolbert (So. / F / Fort Worth, Texas) Fouled out with 2:26 to play in the game. He finished the game with 11 points, one rebound, one block and one steal.
  • Dejan Kravic (R-Jr. / F / London, Ontario, Canada) scored the game-winning basket with 0.4 seconds left on a rebound and putback. Kravic finished the night with 10 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal in 32 minutes. His two blocks ranks tied for third most by a Red Raiders.
